Coach Mohre starting coaching cross country in 1988 at Westwood High School in Round Rock Texas, taking over for the legendary coach, Bob McConnell. Mohre was the head coach of both the boys and girls programs at Westwood until 1992. In 1992 McNeil High School (Round Rock ISD) opened and Mohre started the cross country and track and field programs serving as the boys coach from 1992 to 1999. During that time, coach Mohre's teams won the district title 4 times and his 1994 team placed 3rd at the UIL State Cross Country Meet at the 4A level. In 1999 coach Mohre moved to St. Johns, Michigan to teach physical education and coach football and track & field at St. Johns Middle School. In 2007 coach Mohre took over the girls cross country program at St. Johns Middle School and in 2014 he took on the duties of both boys and girls teams. Coach Mohre is also the head boys track & field coach at St. Johns High School.
Nicole McCastle - Assistant Coach
Coach McCastle is in her third year as an assistant coach for the middle school program. She also is the head girl's track and field coach for the middle school. Coach McCastle qualified for and ran in the Boston Marathon in 2019.
